Crossfit Workout 5-7-2013

My Crossfit Workout today is “Nancy”. This workout consists of 5 rounds. Each round has a 400 meter run followed by 15 overhead squats.  Today I’m trying something new.  I normally skip running WODS because I can’t leave the kiddo behind at home while I run but today I’m going to try the workout while pushing him along in the stroller like I would a regular run.  My fear is he will get impatient waiting in the stroller while I do the overhead squats.  We shall see how he does.

I know that some may not have a barbell to perform the overhead squats as shown but no worries & NO EXCUSES.  Here are some movement modifications using a towel, pvc pipe, kettlebell, bodyweight, and dumbells that will do the same work.

Today I’ll also be running 6 miles as my training for my first 10K winds down & to keep up with my squat challenge I started the day with 80 squats.  Legs are going to be on fire today!
